Spot on. Your O(1) analogy for content consumption is brilliant. But do you think some 'deep content' simply doesnt have a 200 OK value for a broad audience, even with perfect formatting?
In my opinion it’s worth separating in two key points:
- writing an interesting post
- catching people’s attention for the interesting post
There’s nothing wrong with deep content, people love that!
But the problem with that type of content is that it’s usually harder to get people’s attention: synthetizing a hook, or a catchy image is challenging when you have something to say that requires a lot of words.
Here’s a Matrix of possible scenarios
- you focus a lot on the hook, and not on the content -> you sound like a scam
- you focus a lot on the content, and not on the hook -> you get scrolled in the feed
- you don’t focus on none of them -> you get scolled in the feed
- you focus on both -> people linger over your deep post, and boost your dwell time (the ideal scenario)

I leave you this link about dwell time which I think is really important for the post visibility

Thank you! 🙏
